RAZORLIGHT: 'WE'RE BETTER THAN MORRISSEY'

RAZORLIGHT frontman JOHNNY BORRELL believes his band are better than legendary rocker MORRISSEY, after the incredible response they received at this year's (06) V Festival. Both Razorlight and the former THE SIMTHS star headlined the British two-day festival in August, but Borrell insists fans were more interested in his rock tunes than Morrissey's melancholic crooning. He says, "I was amazed at V Festival when I was told there were 45,000 people watching us and 20,000 watching Morrissey. "I was staggered. There was a chant of 'Who the f**k is Morrissey?', which for someone who grew up as a massive fan of The Smiths was interesting. "You feel a bit sorry for someone who was your hero, but at the same time really pleased people are getting into your stuff." Outspoken Borrell has previously declared his band better than BOB DYLAN.
