MONA LISA - RAY EVANS DIES
Oscar-winning songwriter RAY EVANS died on Thursday (14FEB07). He was 92.
Evans, who wrote WHATEVER WILL BE, WILL BE (QUE SERA, SERA), died in Los Angles.
He produced songs for dozens of songs for films as well as composing themes to TV shows BONANZA and MR ED with his music partner JAY LIVINGSTON. Livingston, who died in 2001, would provide the melodies, while Evans supplied the lyrics.
The pair won Oscars for BUTTONS AND BOWS, MONA LISA and Whatever Will Be, Will Be (Que Sera, Sera).
Evans close friend MICHAEL FEINSTEIN says he "was always thrilled that his work survived" over the decades.
