BRETT RATNER - RATNER CHOOSES PARIS FOR RUSH HOUR 3 TO APPEASE BATTLING STARS

Moviemaker BRETT RATNER moved the location to RUSH HOUR 3 to Paris, France because his stars didn't want to shoot the film on their native continents. Film star Jackie Chan admits he was all set to pack his bags and head for Hawaii until co-star Chris Tucker urged Ratner to reconsider the setting and move filming to Bangkok, Thailand. Chan reveals, "For Rush Hour 3 the first draw was Hawaii. Hawaii is good for me, but Chris refused: 'No, we're in America.' "I said to Chris, 'Where do you want to go?' and he said, 'I want to go to Bangkok.' I'm the Asian boy, so Bangkok, no. I refused. "So then Brett Ratner said, 'OK, let's go to Paris.' Then we both agreed that Paris is good."
