RATATOUILLE TOPS BOX OFFICE RATINGS

Animated adventure RATATOUILLE has soared to the top of the U.K. box office after its opening weekend. The latest offering from Disney/Pixar has grossed GBP4.4 million ($8.8 million) since its release last week (12Oct07), scurrying way ahead of its contenders. The film's nearest rival is zombie thriller Resident Evil: Extinction, which grossed GBP931,99 ($1,863,98). Hollywood heavyweight Quentin Tarantino's offering, Death Proof, failed to break into the top ten. Ben Stiller's new comedy The Heartbreak Kid and David Schwimmer's directorial debut, Run, Fat Boy, Run, came in at three and five respectively.
