RAGE SONG ANGERS ASDA SHOPPERS
RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE'S 1992 hit Killing In The Name' has angered shoppers in Asda after it was played over the shop's speakers.
The song - in which singer Zach de la Rocha repeatedly shouts "F**k you, I won't do what you tell me" - was played in the entertainment section of the retailer's Preston branch.
Asda has issued an apology after receiving complaints from several shoppers.
Nicola Gahagan, 27, who was doing her weekly shop at the supermarket in Fulwood, said the experience left her shocked.
"All they needed to do was switch the stop button. I spoke to another woman who had a child I would be surprised if other people have not complained," she told the Lancashire Evening Post.
"If I was watching television I would not have to put up with that."
A spokesperson for the supermarket accepted the complaint, admitting that the song should not have been played in the store.
