RADIOHEAD - RADIOHEAD AND ARCADE FIRE BATTLE IT OUT FOR BLOGGERS' FAVOURITES

RADIOHEAD have beaten out ARCADE FIRE to win the title of 2007's best album in a new poll of online music bloggers' top picks. Online blog aggregator The Hype MAChine has compiled votes from over 648 music-sharing blogs to confirm the British band's LP In Rainbows as the internet's favourite album of last year (07), beating Arcade Fire's Neon Bible into second place, while The National's disc Boxer took third position. LCD Soundsystem's Sound of Silver came in at number four, while Spoon's Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga is at number five. But Canadian rockers Arcade Fire triumphed over Radiohead in another list of the worldwide web's "most talked about" artists. The closely-fought battle saw the two bands beat competition from Feist, LCD Soundsystem and Spoon, who landed third, fourth and fifth positions respectively.
