RADCLIFFE TO CONTINUE AS POTTER FOR £25M

HARRY POTTER star DANIEL RADCLIFFE has agreed a new £25 million deal to star in the final two movies in the boy wizard series.

This fee will be split over the two upcoming films THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE and the final book, which is yet to be released, THE DEATHLY HALLOWS. However, it is unlikely that Radcliffe will see the full amount, after agents, managers and tax cuts are made.

Nevertheless, the money adds to the £20 million fortune he will inherit on his 18th birthday next month and now means the actor is free to pursue parts he chooses himself.

Speaking to the Daily Mail he said: "Obviously, I'm in a very fortunate position where I don't have to do things for the money. I can simply do them because there's an interesting character and a good director involved."

Radcliffe has proved he wants to be a serious actor and shed the Potter image after the films are completed, by starring in the disturbing London play Equus - a far cry from the wizarding world aimed at children.

However, the latest movie THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX, has received rave reviews before its release next month as Radcliffe and his other young co-stars indulge in the "darkest" movie of the franchise so far.
