PSYCHO - 'PSYCHO' SON DEDICATES ALBUM TO 9/11 MOTHER

The singer/songwriter son of PSYCHO star ANTHONY PERKINS has dedicated his debut album to the memory of his mum, who was killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York City. ELVIS PERKINS lost his dad - who played infamous killer Norman Bates - in 1992 to AIDS and his mum nine years later when her flight crashed into the Twin Towers. But he claims the double tragedy has inspired his music-making, which began seriously around the time of his mother's death in 2001. He says, "Some of these songs (on album Ash Wednesday) dig back seven odd years. "My mum thought (one of the tracks) was the best song ever written, so yes, as able mothers will, she encouraged (this record).
