A private investigator hired by CHRIS CORNELL's ex-wife has been charged for breaking into the former AUDIOSLAVE frontman's Los Angeles home. Matthew Turner paid a recent visit to Cornell's Beverly Hills mansion to serve the star with legal papers over a dispute of ownership of 15 guitars on behalf of his ex, Susan Silver. When he discovered no one was home, Turner let himself into the house and went to use the bathroom - but was caught with his pants down after the whole incident was caught on security cameras. A source tells the New York Post's gossip column Page Six, "He broke into their home. He even used the Cornells' bathroom. "Chris and his wife, Vicky, had gotten death threats in the past, so they have a state-of-the-art surveillance system which captured all of this on tape." Turner, an employee at California investigative firm Thomas Dale and Associates, is now facing one charge of aggravated trespassing and is due to appear in court for a pre-trial hearing on 12 December (07). Cornell divorced Silver - the manager of Alice in Chains and the singer's former band, Soundgarden - in 2001, and went on to marry Vicky Karayiannis in 2003.
