PRINCE CHARLES - PRINCE CHARLES: 'BAN THE BIG MAC'
British royal PRINCE CHARLES has called for the closure of MCDonalds fast food outlets worldwide in a bid to curb rising obesity levels.
The prince targeted the chain as he attended the launch of a public health awareness campaign to fight diabetes in the United Arab Emirates.
Speaking to nutritionist NADINE TAYARA at the Imperial College London Diabetes Centre in Abu Dhabi, Charles said, "Have you got anywhere with MCDonald's, have you tried getting it banned? That's the key."
The prince has made no secret of his organic preferences in the past. In 1986 he set up a farm on his Highgrove Estate in Gloucestershire, England outlawing the use of artificial pesticides or fertilisers.

It would be much more beneficial to educate the public on the importance of
eating healthy foods. A better approach would be to institutionalize the use of
healthy foods for any foods served by government agencies, sending a clear
message that the government(s) do(es) not support the frequent consumption of
bad foods. Also, I would recommend institutionalizing (via government
subsidization of health clubs memberships, etc.) a form of an exercise program
that rewards individuals for getting into shape (lottery, etc.).

When I heard of this news I was sooo happy!!! This is the most wonderful news
that I have ever heard.. McDonalds is ruining the world, ruining the people and
ruining our home, Planet Earth!! Just last weekend I drove from Seattle, Wa to
Eugene, Or and the whole drive down I think I saw hundreds and hundreds of
McDonalds.. If not McDonalds it was another horrible fast food restaurant.. It
just makes me sad to see. So I wanted to Thank Prince Charles for bringing this
issue up and I wish the best of luck and if there is anyway I could help please
let me know. I would do anything ANYTHING to help.. I have dreamed of this
since I was a little girl I have always wanted to bring McDeath DOWN!!!
