ANGELINA JOLIE - PREGNANT ANGELINA JOLIE 'CHECKS INTO FRENCH HOSPITAL'

Angelina Jolie has reportedly checked into a hospital in the south of France ahead of the imminent birth of her twins.

The Tomb Raider star has been admitted to the Lenval news agency in Nice, according to the Associated Press news agency.

However, hospital spokeswoman Nadine Bauer stressed: "There's no urgency.

"Jolie's admittance has] been planned for a long time," she told AP.

"She's very well. Everything is fine."

Jolie and partner Brad Pitt are already parents to four children together: adopted children Maddox, six, Pax Thien, four and three-year-old Zahara, as well as biological daughter Shiloh, 20 months.

And she confirmed she had twins on the way when her Kung Fu Panda co-star Jack Black let slip in May that Jolie and Pitt would be adding two more children to their brood.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly last month, the 33-year-old actress revealed she and Pitt were taken aback by the news of their family's expanding size.

"We weren't expecting twins," she told the magazine. "So it did shock us and we jumped to six [children] quickly. But we like a challenge."

According to British magazine Now, the couple have already chosen the names for their two children, with Isla Marcheline and Amelie Jane allegedly to be the new additions to the Jolie-Pitt family.
