PLANT REJECTED $200 MILLION LED ZEPPELIN TOUR

LED ZEPPELIN frontman ROBERT PLANT has reportedly turned down a $200 million (GBP100 million) deal to revive the legendary band for a world tour. According to British newspaper the Sunday Mirror, the singer was offered the multi-million dollar sum to embark on a series of live dates across the globe - but rejected it in order to concentrate on his current partnership with country star Alison Krauss. The rockers reformed in December (07) for a one-off tribute concert in London after a 27-year absence, and despite massive demand, the band have refused to confirm whether they are planning any more live dates. But a source tells the Sunday Mirror that a deal was scuppered by Plant, saying, "Despite the enormous offer, the decision did not come down to money. "Jimmy (Page, guitarist) had enjoyed the concert in December enough to want to tour again. He argued they still had something to offer. "John (Paul, bassist) sided with Jimmy. He loved making music with the others again. "But Robert wanted to leave last year's concert as their legacy. They had proved they could still do it and that was enough."

The $200 million offer was made knowing that Plant would not accept because he would have to abandon his current tour with Alison Krause. Plant has a commitment and he will follow through with it. This was simply an all air publicity stunt, let's see if the offer is put into writing after Bobby is done with his current commitments!
