RYAN PHILLIPPE - PHILLIPPE STILL STRUGGLING WITH WITHERSPOON SPLIT

Actor RYAN PHILLIPPE is still struggling to come to terms with his failed marriage to REESE WITHERSPOON - more than 16 months after they split. The Crash star sunk into severe depression following the break-up of his seven-year union to the Oscar-winning beauty, and admits he is slowly coming to terms with his status as a divorcee. He tells the new issue of W magazine, "You get through it. It's a process that's not easy, but I get less and less sad about it every day. The former couple, who are parents to eight-year-old Ava Elizabeth and four-year-old Deacon Reese, split in October 2006. Their divorce was finalised in October 2007. Previously, Phillippe confessed he contemplated suicide following the split. In an interview last year (07), the actor admitted he suffered a breakdown when his actress wife filed for divorce. He said, "After the divorce I was a physical wreck. I wanted to die. I was ready to kill myself. "I was not taking care of myself at all. I would wake up and cry and vomit."
