REGIS PHILBIN - PHILBIN RETURNS TO LIVE

LATEST: TV veteran REGIS PHILBIN has returned to his US talk show LIVE! WITH REGIS AND KELLY, just six weeks after having triple bypass surgery. The 75-year-old presenter was admitted to the Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City on 14 March (07) to undergo the operation, which was a "tough procedure". The star was cheered by the audience as he walked back on set to co-host with Kelly Ripa this morning (26Apr07). CBS Late Show host David Letterman was also a guest on his first show back. Philbin, who has lost eight pounds (3.62 kilograms) since the operation said, "What an occasion this has been. Finally back after six weeks and one day."
