PETE DOHERTY - PETE AND COURTNEY SPARK LOVE RUMOURS

Rumours of an unlikely relationship between two of music's most troubled stars have gathered pace today after a meeting between Pete Doherty and Courtney Love was spotted by onlookers.

The Babyshambles frontman took a trip from his rehab centre to meet the Hole singer at a Wiltshire country pub for a meal.

Love and Doherty met when the former spent some time at the Cloud's rehab centre, where the ex-Libertines singer is receiving treatment for drug addiction.

The widow of Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain and the on-off boyfriend of model Kate Moss reportedly used the opportunity to have a slap-up meal - at a local Wetherspoons.

Love was reported to have shared some of her experiences of drug addiction with Doherty, having spent time in rehab herself, and then shared a kiss afterwards.

According to the Daily Star, a source close to the pair said that Doherty "respects Courtney for the struggle she's faced, one that, like his, seemed insurmountable".

"It was touching to see them share a tender kiss after the visit. But these two are both musicians, both self-destructive and rather poetic."

Doherty and Moss split earlier this year, after a turbulent relationship that saw them often feature in newspaper headlines.
