JOE PESCI - PESCI SUED BY PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR

Actor JOE PESCI is to be sued by a private investigator for breach of contract. A lawsuit was filed against Pesci on Tuesday (25Sep07) at Los Angeles County Superior Court by private investigator John Perry. In legal papers obtained by TMZ.com, Perry claims he was hired by Pesci "to perform private investigative, bodyguard, security and property surveillance services" - after the actor's ex-wife Claudio Haro was accused of hiring a hitman to shoot her stuntman husband in 1995. The suit claims, "Pesci regularly maintained both the innocence of his ex-wife as well as his own non-involvement in the alleged attempted murder." Perry says he was never paid, despite carrying out the investigation and racking up a bill of $103,000 (GBP51,500). Haro was arrested in 2005 and is currently still in jail.
