PERRY WANTS TO RECREATE MADONNA-BRITNEY KISS WITH MILEY CYRUS

Singer KATY PERRY wants to recreate MADONNA and BRITNEY SPEARS' famous award show smooch - by planting a kiss on teenager MILEY CYRUS.
Spears and Madonna wowed viewers and guests at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards when they locked lips during a performance.
And Perry is convinced a similar steamy moment with Cyrus at next month's (04Aug08) Teen Choice Awards could give her a career boost.
The I Kissed A Girl star says, "Maybe we'll have another Britney-Madonna moment on stage. How hilarious would that be?"
But Perry concedes the clinch could be one controversy too many for 15-year-old Cyrus, who is still recovering from a series of photo scandals from earlier this year (08).
Cyrus caused outrage when she posed topless, wrapped in a bed sheet for the cover of August's (08) Vanity Fair magazine.
Perry says, "I don't think it (kissing stunt) would help her career. However, it would definitely help mine."
Ironically, Perry was a back up singer for Cyrus before making it big with summer smash hit I Kissed A Girl.
