PERRY STANDS BY HER MAN

U.S. pop sensation KATY PERRY has come to the defence of her beau TRAVIS MCCOY, insisting she will stand by him after he was arrested for attacking a fan during a gig earlier this month (Jul08).
The Gym Class Heroes frontman was midway through a set with his band in St. Louis, Missouri, when he took offence to an audience member who reportedly called him a "f**king ignorant n**ger".
MCCoy invited the concertgoer onstage, but when the unnamed man lunged at the singer, he went on the attack - and whacked the fan on the head with a microphone.
The outburst resulted in MCCoy's arrest on a third degree assault charge immediately after the concert.
But Perry believes there is two sides to the story, and her lover wasn't wrong to lash out after being insulted.
She tells Usweekly.com, "There are definitely two sides to every story and you always have to take (that) into account."
The star said she will stand by the rocker and insisted he will learn from his mistakes.
She adds, "He always learns from everything and we all learn from everything so I'm a 'stand by your man' type-of-girl."
