WET WET WET - PELLOW: 'WE DRANK OUR WAY AROUND THE WORLD'

WET WET WET frontman MARTI PELLOW spent most of his early years with the band drinking and partying instead of enjoying the sights while on the road. The musician, who on a visit to India opted to get drunk instead of seeing the Taj Mahal, now regrets not taking time to see world-famous landmarks when he had the chance. Pellow, who spent years battling addictions to drink and drugs, has reformed the band that made his name, with the group set to tour next year (08). But the 42-year-old plans on staying completely sober during Wet Wet Wet's next tour and hopes to see a bit more of the world. He says, "We've been round the world a few times. But the first time we were like 'Eiffel Tower? No thanks but I'll have another drink' and 'Taj Mahal? Never mind, where's the party'.'' "We were daft laddies. But your youth and your arrogance tell you you'll come back one day."
