GOOD CHARLOTTE - PARENTING MAKES MADDEN RETHINK LYRICS

Fatherhood has turned GOOD CHARLOTTE frontman JOEL MADDEN into the most considerate rocker on the planet - he wants his peers to think about what they're telling young fans. The tattooed punk rocker became a first-time father in January (08) when girlfriend Nicole Richie gave birth to daughter Harlow - and he admits parenthood has already made him rethink his lyrics - and wants others to follow suit. He tells MTV News, "It's (fatherhood) definitely made me think differently about life and I'm sure it will affect my music. We just started writing a record and I'm sure it's gonna affect the way I write and what I write about. "It's definitely made me think about my fans a little bit more, because they're people's kids, and so I care about what they think and I care about what I'm saying to them, because I want people to think about what they're saying to my child."
