CLIVE OWEN spent the night before his first scenes as historical hero SIR WALTER RALEIGH in the ELIZABETH sequel literally pulling his hair out. The hunky Brit had extensions added to his mane to make him look more like a sea-faring Renaissance man - but he decided he hated the look at the last minute. Owen explains, "The night before we were starting the shoot, I kept thinking, `It's not right, it's not right.' I had full-on extensions through the whole hair. "I told (director) Shekhar (Kapur), `I want to take more out. It feels like an actor in a period-film thing.' So I spent the night before that first day taking it all out."
