THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS - OVER THE HEDGE TAKES TOP UK SPOT

Animated movie OVER THE HEDGE has taken the top spot in the UK box office chart from THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS: TOKYO DRIFT. The children's film about wasteful, over-consuming Americans brought in GBP3.59 million ($6.5 million) and was way ahead of the second place movie JUST MY LUCK starring LINDSAY LOHAN. Previous box office champ, Tokyo Drift, was bumped down to third place while THE LAKE HOUSE, starring SANDRA BULLOCK and KEANU REEVES, came in fourth place with GBP397,800 ($716,000). The fifth biggest movie of the weekend is KEN LOACH'S THE WIND THAT SHAKES THE BARLEY.
