THE BUTTERFLY - OSCARS MAKE-UP SHORTLIST DOWN TO SEVEN

THE DIVING BELL + THE BUTTERFLY, HARRY POTTER + THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX and 300 are among the seven films which will compete for the Achievement in Make-up prize at the Oscars next month (Feb08). The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will also consider Edith Piaf biopic La Vie en Rose, Norbit, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End and Sweeney Todd for the make-up honour. Members of the Academy's make-up division will view 10-minute excerpts from each of the seven shortlisted films next weekend (19Jan08) and nominate three films for final Oscar consideration on 22 January 22 (08). The Academy Awards are scheduled to take place on 24 February (08) at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.
