OZZY OSBOURNE - OSBOURNE + ZOMBIE HELP COPS CATCH CROOKS
A savvy North Dakota sheriff used OZZY OSBOURNE and ROB ZOMBIE to catch a group of deadbeat state dads - by inviting them to a hoax meet-and-greet session with the rockers. Almost 40 rock fans fell for the pre-show prank - and were greeted by officials brandishing handcuffs, instead of the promise of an open bar. Sheriff Paul D. Laney used the recent Osbourne/Zombie show in Fargo, North Dakota as the backdrop of the disguised sting operation, to which locals who have been ignoring court summonses and child support requests were invited. Laney tells Rolling Stone magazine, "It was more of a warrant party." A source claims many of those arrested saw the funny side of the clever sheriff's plan and few turned hostile when they were handcuffed.
