The father and son fought after a family get together turned sour on Saturday night (03FEB07) and police were called when neighbours heard a shot ring out. Conflicting reports suggest Griffin attacked the movie star with a poker and accidentally struck his own pregnant girlfriend, prompting his father to fire off a shotgun round in a desperate attempt to bring the peace. And, in a new National Enquirer exclusive, a family friend claims the fight started when Ryan found his younger son REDMOND tied up like a dog in the yard after Griffin dished out a severe punishment to his troubled little brother upon finding his sibling unconscious in his bedroom following a drug-using session. Meanwhile, Griffin's half-sister TATUM O'NEAL has come forward with her own view of the events, claiming her father was the aggressor and her brother was simply trying to protect Redmond. Ryan O'Neal was arrested for assault and a handgun offence, but now friends insist Griffin plans to make sure his dad pays for the family feud.
