OLIVER! TALENT SEARCH LAUNCHED

TV's latest talent search has been unveiled as a hunt for people to play Nancy and Oliver in the stage musical of the famous Dickens tale.

Called I'd Do Anything, the show will be broadcast on BBC1 in the new year and will seek to find three boys to play Oliver and a woman to star as Nancy.

Graham Norton will present following on from his success at the helm of other talent search shows How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria? and Any Dream Will Do.

Legendary composer Andrew Lloyd Webber has also stepped up for the programme after taking part in the previous BBC1 hits.

But this time Norton and Lloyd Webber will also be joined by theatre composer Cameron Mackintosh.

Other judges will take part in the weekly show to decide the winners.

Elaine Bedell, controller and entertainment commissioning, said: "We're really pleased to be building on the success of Any Dream Will Do with a new search for West End stars next year.

"Oliver! is a much-loved British musical so we're sure the show will unite families and melt hearts across the UK as we watch some of Britain's best new talent take centre stage."
