GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL - OLDIES INVADE ALBUM CHART

While the youngsters are concentrating on next weekend's Glastonbury festival, ageing rockers have launched a backhand coup on the album chart top ten.

Supergroup The Traveling Wilburys are straight in at number one this week.

The band, which featured ex-Beatle George Harrison as well as Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan and Jeff Lynne, hit the top spot with Collection, an assortment of tracks from their two albums.

Other new entries are Bon Jovi's Lost Highway at three and Police's The Police at number three.

With Genesis' best-of at five, Hank Marvin at six, The Who's Then and Now in at nine and Paul McCartney's Memory Almost Full slipping five places to ten, this is one of the most nostalgic charts for donkey's years.

Only last week's number one, Rihanna's Good Girl Gone Bad, holds up the flag for modern music in the top five. Era Vulgaris from Queens of the Stone Age enters at number seven while Amy Winehouse is at eight.

Rihanna may have been knocked off her perch in the album chart, but her Umbrella effort is number one in the singles yet again this week.

The White Stripes are at number two with Icky Thump while Enrique Iglesias' Do You Know rounds off the top three.
