RICK ROSS - OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS 'PROVE ROSS WAS PRISON GUARD'
LATEST: Payroll documents purporting to prove rapper RICK ROSS served as a prison guard during his youth have been posted online.
Last week (begs14Jul08), the Hustlin' star - who boasts about his drug dealing past in his rhymes - hit out at an image that had circulated online depicting him in a correctional officer's uniform, insisting the photo had been doctored.
He said, "My life is 100 per cent real. These online hackers putting a picture of my face when I was a teenager in high school on other peoples' body. If this s**t was real don't you think they would have more specifics, like dates and everything?"
But Ross, real name William Leonard Roberts, has now allegedly been outed after website TheSmokingGun.com published what it claims are details of his wages from the Department of Corrections (DoC) records.
According to the paperwork shown online, Ross was employed at the South Florida Reception Center in his native Dade County, Miami, in December 1995 - and earned $22,913.54 (GBP11,456.77). The documents show he left in June 1997.
The papers, provided to the website by DoC spokesperson Jo Ellyn Rackleff, also feature the prison guard's social security number, which is said to be identical to that of Ross.
Ross' representative was unavailable for comment as WENN went to press.
