EMINEM - NO GRAND THEFT AUTO ROLE FOR EMINEM
The company behind GRAND THEFT AUTO has dismissed reports its planning a movie version of the hit game starring rapper EMINEM. Rockstar Games, which makes the action roleplay simulation, was rumoured to have signed a deal with a major film studio to turn the game into a blockbuster movie. And rap superstar Eminem was reported to have been lined up for the lead role. But now the company have declared they never intended to make a film. Dan Houser, vice president of creative at Rockstar, tells MTV.com, "Some movie producers were trying to put something together to entice us to make a movie, as studios and production teams frequently have done in the past. This proposal was no more interesting than the numerous others we receive. We never entertained proceeding with the project. "Rockstar was not involved in this project in any way, shape or form. It is not something we are currently interested in."
