NIRVANA BOSS URGED COBAIN TO ATTEND REHAB

Former NIRVANA manager DANNY GOLDBERG tried desperately to get KURT COBAIN into rehab in the months before he took his own life.
Record executive Goldberg tried several "interventions" in a bid to help the iconic grunge rocker kick his drug addiction prior to his suicide in 1994.
And despite having the assistance of a range of medical professionals, nothing tempted Cobain into getting clean.
Goldberg tells NME magazine, "We tried different therapists and doctors and I remember performing at least two interventions, trying to get him into rehab. Agonising over his self-destructiveness was a painful experience."
But he insists Cobain's demons never made him an aggressive personality - branding the tragic star an "incredibly sweet guy".
He adds, "Nirvana weren't difficult to manage. All of Kurt's negativity was directed to himself, not the people around him. When he was really anguished he'd be prone to outbursts but overall he was an incredibly sweet guy."
Goldberg is set to release a book of memoirs documenting his time in charge of Nirvana, entitled Bumping Into Geniuses.
