PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN - NIGHY WARMS TO PIRATE VILLAIN

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN star BILL NIGHY has warmed to playing octopus-faced villain DAVY JONES after initially feeling the character was a "clown". The British actor admits he's quite fond of his over-the-top pirate character, and hopes there are more Pirates of The Caribbean films. He says, "Once I got over the idea that I had to walk around in pyjamas, looking like a sad clown... and they ran out of jokes, you kind of get into it. "It's kind of liberating; you can act at a level that you wouldn't get away with under normal circumstances, so you pitch the performance at a kind of reckless level."
