NICK CAVE - NICK CAVE DEMANDS SEMI-NAKED STATUE

Australian rocker NICK CAVE is hoping to raise $57,000 (GBP29,000) in order to erect a semi-naked bronze statue of himself in his hometown.
Fans have been speculating about his plans for the statue for the last year, and the Nick Cave + The Bad Seeds frontman has finally confirmed the project in an interview with British music magazine Q.
If he succeeds in his fundraising efforts, the full-sized piece - which is said to depict the singer riding a horse while semi-nude - will be put up as a permanent fixture on the main street in Warracknabeal in Victoria, Australia.
He says, "It would feel like a very exotic journey if I did make it back home as a bronze statuette. I don't dwell on it. I'm not going to pretend it's not satisfying in some ways. But there's a lot of work to do yet.''
