JK ROWLING - NEW HARRY POTTER TITLE ANNOUNCED

Author JK ROWLING has selected a title for the seventh book in the HARRY POTTER series and is challenging fans to visit her website to play a game of hangman to find out what it is. The book is the finale to her phenomenally popular fantasy series and is the world's most anticipated children's book. Rowling is still working on the book, and posted a message on her website today (21DEC06), explaining,"I'm now writing scenes that have been planned, in some cases, for a dozen years or even more. "I don't think anyone who has not been in a similar situation can possibly know how this feels: I am alternately elated and overwrought. I both want, and don't want, to finish this book (don't worry, I will)." For those who can't wait to visit the website and find out what the new title is, Rowling's US publisher, Scholastic, Inc. announced that it will be called HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS. No publication date or other details were announced.
