NBC - NBC TO RIDE L.A. BUSES

The NBC-owned stations in Los Angeles will have a captive audience of bus riders beginning this month as a result of a deal between the stations and Toronto-based Transit TV that was announced Wednesday. News, weather, sports and entertainment programing from NBC station KNBC as well as programing from Spanish-language stations KVEA and KWHY will be carried on 2,200 buses equipped with 4,400 LCD screens. In a statement, Ginger Zumaeta, head of advertising and promotion for the stations, said, "Transit TV's network offers us a unique way to expose our stations' brands and promote our programming to as many people as possible." Transit TV also operates in Chicago, Atlanta, Orlando, San Diego and Milwaukee.
