MYA - MYA RECORDS CANCER ANTHEM

R+B star MYA has been chosen to sing a new cancer charity anthem which will lead a major new awareness drive about the disease. The singer has recorded award-winning songwriter Kara DioGuardi's new tune My Bra for the 13th annual Stop Breast Cancer for Life public awareness and advocacy campaign. The anthem, the campaign's first theme song, was penned as a tribute to DioGuardi's mother, who died of ovarian cancer in 1997. My Bra will be available as a digital download via the iTunes website and it will also feature prominently in online and TV ads. At the centre of the new campaign is a TV film on America's Lifetime network, called Matters of Life + Dating, which stars Ricki Lake as a single woman living with breast cancer.
