MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE AND IRON MAIDEN LEAD METAL AWARDS
Goth rockers MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE and heavy metal legends IRON MAIDEN lead the nominations for this year's (07) Metal Hammer Awards.
The fifth annual Metal Hammer Golden Gods sees Iron Maiden's A Matter of Life and Death battling My Chemical Romance's The Black Parade for best album.
Iron Maiden are also up for Best UK Band, while My Chemical Romance's second nomination is for Best Video - for Welcome to the Black Parade.
Other nominees include Velvet Revolver (Best International Band), Nine Inch Nails (Best Live Band), and Bullet For My Valentine (Best UK Band).
The music ceremony will take place in London on 11 April (07).

ARE YOU JOKING!? i love MCR... but they are NOT goth... or heavy metal. Has a
heavy metal fan ever come up to you and said, "hey i love Mychemical Romance"
NO cuz they'd be on crack! Like i said... i love mcr but they had to have been
booed off stage at that thing

Wow... How Ironic! I'll bet the boyz from MCR never would have dreamed 6 years
ago that they would ever be in direct competition for the Metal Hammer award
with their most revered and inspirational bands, Iron Maiden... Awesome! Dreams
really CAN come true!
