MUSE - MUSE DISAPPOINTED BY AMERICAN DOMINATION OF MTV EMAS

English rockers MUSE were stunned by the dominance of US acts at the MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) last night (02NOV06), after they were only one of three non-American acts to win. The SUPERMASSIVE BLACK HOLE hitmakers were named Best Alternative act at the Copenhagen, Denmark ceremony, while fellow Brits DEPECHE MODE picked up Best Group. In a winners list dominated by US acts, such as JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE , RIHANNA, GNARLS BARKLEY and CHRISTINA AGUILERA, French DJ JUSTICE VS SIMIAN joined Muse and Depeche Mode as the sole European winners. Frontman MATT BELLAMY tell MTV, "We're flying the Euro/UK flag in a USA line-up. It'd be nice to see a bigger swing to our side of the ocean. "Winning makes us feel like we've won an award for doing something different, innovative."
