EDDIE MURPHY - MURPHY `MARRIAGE' OVER AFTER JUST TWO WEEKS

EDDIE MURPHY and his wife of two weeks have split, according to shocking new U.S. reports. The movie star and Tracey Edmonds wed in Bora Bora in French Polynesia on 1 January (08) and have been planning to renew their vows on American soil after realising the ceremony wasn't legally binding. But the second ceremony never took place and now the couple is no more, according to America's People magazine. Reports suggest Murphy ended the union and has asked for the marriage to be officially annulled. Murphy and Edmonds, who have been dating since 2006, have both been married before - Murphy divorced Nicole Mitchell in April 2006, while Edmonds ended her marriage to music mogul Kenneth 'Babyface' Edmonds in October 2005. In between his last marriage and his romance with Edmonds, Murphy had a brief fling with Spice Girls star Melanie Brown, who gave birth to the actor's daughter last year (06).
