AFI - MOVIE AND TV TOP TENS ANNOUNCED

DREAMGIRLS, UNITED 93 and BORAT: CULTURAL LEARNINGS OF AMERICA FOR MAKE BENEFIT GLORIOUS NATION OF KAZAKHSTAN are among the films of 2006, according to the American Film Institute.
The organisation has revealed its top ten - chosen by a panel of filmmakers, critics, scholars and AFI trustees - to give gamblers a good hint ahead of the forthcoming awards season.
The other seven entries are BABEL; THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA; HALF NELSON; HAPPY FEET; INSIDE MAN; LETTERS FROM IWO JIMA and LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE.
AFI's TV list, put together by a separate panel, is; BATTLESTAR GALACTICA; DEXTER; ELIZABETH I; FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS; HEROES; THE OFFICE; SOUTH PARK; 24; THE WEST WING and THE WIRE.
The films and shows will be honoured at an AFI luncheon in Los Angeles in January (07).
