MORRISSEY - MORRISSEY PARTS WITH MANAGER
British rocker MORRISSEY has parted ways with his manager of five years.
The former Smiths frontman has severed links with his longterm associate Merck Mercuriadis in favour of a new contract with ie: music - a management firm boasting clients including Robbie Williams.
And Mercuriadis insists he is not bitter about the decision - admitting he is actually relived to have ended his working relationship with the singer, as he can now have some time off.
He says "Over the last five years, Morrissey and I have had three albums which entered the charts at five, two and one, and had 10 top 20 singles and sold hundreds of gigs all over the world from Earl's Court (London) to the Hollywood Bowl (Los Angeles).
"I believe my penance is complete and Saint Morrissey has granted my absolution."
