MORRISSEY MOCKS MINOGUE + BUSH

British rocker MORRISSEY used his headlining slot at a U.K. music festival to mock pop superstar KYLIE MINOGUE's OBE award.
The Australian singer was honoured on Thursday (03Jul08) when she was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for her services to music and entertainment.
But former The Smiths frontman Morrissey has expressed his disapproval of the move, sarcastically telling revellers at the Wireless Festival in London on Friday (04Jul08) how he was "thrilled to death" about Minogue's honour.
The singer – dubbed “The Pope of Mope” for his miserable lyrics - further mocked the star at the event, quipping to the crowd: "I'm sure you'll agree, it was completely deserved."
And it wasn't only Minogue who vegetarian Morrissey berated at the show – he also lashed out at U.S. President George W. Bush, and meat-eaters during his hour-long set.
