MICHAEL MOORE - MOORE SLAMS CLINTON

Filmmaker MICHAEL MOORE has launched a scathing attack on U.S. presidential hopeful HILLARY CLINTON - calling the politician a "bigot stoking the fires of stupidity".
The Oscar-nominated director's latest movie Captain Mike Across America, follows Democrat John Kerry's doomed 2004 bid for the White House.
And now Moore has waded into the 2008 election campaign debate - accusing Clinton of bad-mouthing her opponent Barack Obama.
Moore insists he used to be a supporter of former First Lady Clinton, but has now changed his allegiances, calling the New York senator's recent criticisms of Obama an "attempt to smear the black man".
He says, "(Clinton is) stoking the fears of white America. The actions and words of Hillary Clinton have gone from being merely disappointing to downright disgusting.
"You have devoted your life to good causes and good deeds, (but you are now like) a bigot stoking the fires of stupidity.
"We know there are still many Americans who will never vote for a black man. Hillary knows it, too. She's counting on it."
Clinton is going head to head with fellow Democratic candidate Obama for the chance to compete in the forthcoming presidential elections later this year (08).
