MICHAEL MOORE - MOORE SETTLES CNN FEUD

LATEST: Filmmaker MICHAEL MOORE has ended his feud with CNN after the U.S. news network admitted making mistakes in their coverage of his latest movie Sicko.
Moore launched into an 11-minute rant on CNN show The Situation Room after host Wolf Blitzer and chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta highlighted alleged false information in his documentary.
After the director vowed to CNN to "become your worst nightmare", the network released a statement, answering his accusations and admitting to making two mistakes.
During Gupta's on-air report, he said Moore had inaccurately claimed Cuba spends $25 (GBP12.50) per person on health care. However, they have now admitted that his movie estimates Cuba's spending at $251 (GBP125.50) per person. CNN said a transcription error had lead to this mistake.
In CNN's statement, a spokesman said, "It's ironic that someone who has made a career out of holding powerful interests accountable is so sensitive to having his own work held up to the light by impartial journalists, as we did in our examination of Sicko."
Following CNN's statement, Moore is now willing to forget the fight and move on.
He says, "I trust the intelligence of the American people. I don't think there's a whole lot more to do with this other than I and others are going to be a lot more sceptical with what I see on CNN.
"In the report they say that I fudged the facts and they didn't find a single fact that I fudged."

Michael Moore is an outstanding producer and director. His movie, Sicko, has
struck a cord with the Government and the Wealthy Insurance Companies of this
Country. There is so much truth to the facts the movie brings out, that the
media and large insurance companies and pharmacies attack his weight, (which he
says he is on a diet)and attack the fact that he left out asking the insurance
companies and pharmacies to state their point of view. But as Moore has stated
many times that the media commercials that are played over and over reflect the
large companies and medical pharmacies stance on health care. Wolf Blitzer
needs to retire. While many his age are still going strong- he sounds like a
"drone" and blames the editors or producers for giving him the wrong data. Dr.
Sonjay Gupta needs to take some lessons from FOX networks medical commentators.
