MISS AMERICAN: 'I WILL TESTIFY AGAINST ACCUSED PAEDOPHILES'

LATEST: Miss America LAUREN NELSON has dismissed reports she is refusing to testify against alleged child sex offenders, insisting she is "fully cooperating" with police. Nelson recently helped the New York Police Department expose potential paedophiles by logging on to website chatrooms posing as a 14-year-old girl, as part of hit US TV series America's Most Wanted. Although she was watched by cops at all times, 20-year-old Nelson lured suspects to meet her in an empty home. Several men were arrested as a result. On Monday (30Apr07), local officials claimed Nelson had told prosecutors she had no plans to return to Long Island to testify in court. However, the Miss America organisation yesterday (01May07) insisted Nelson is "fully cooperating with the law enforcement officials".
