KYLIE MINOGUE - MINOGUE: 'HONESTY WAS BEST POLICY'

Pop superstar KYLIE MINOGUE shared her battle with breast cancer with the world, because she couldn't bear to lie to her fans. The Spinning Around hitmaker told fans she was suffering from cancer ahead of her 2005 Show Girl tour - and the singer admits her honesty made the experience more realistic. She tells Interview Magazine, "Two nights after I was diagnosed, I was meant to start production rehearsal, so I wouldn't have felt comfortable cancelling all those shows at such late notice without a valid reason. I also think being straight up about my diagnosis made it more present to me, and I couldn't have dealt with trying to keep up some facade while dealing with everything else."
