MILLS 'ANGRY' AT MACCA-KYLIE HUG

Heather Mills is reported to be upset after seeing her estranged husband cavorting with Kylie Minogue on New Year's Eve.

The model and charity campaigner is said to have watched on with anger as Sir Paul McCartney and the Australian pop princess appeared on Jools Holland's annual Hogmany show.

According to the Sunday Mirror, Mills was in tears as she saw her former lover, 65, and 39-year-old Kylie hug and deliver a duet on the show.

Mills and McCartney are involved in bitter divorce proceedings and the Beatle's second wife is said to feel the episode was designed as a personal slight.

"She's really mad about the way Paul got close to Kylie," a 'friend' told the newspaper.

"She reckons he did it on purpose and feels it was a deliberate public dig at her.

"She thinks he's just trying to prove a point, that he's moved on and is comfortable around other women. She was so hurt she burst into tears."

In response to the claims, a source for the Liverpudlian singer told the paper that McCartney is an admirer of the way Kylie has coped with being diagnosed with breast cancer and returned to the public eye after recovering.

"Paul really admires Kylie. He has an affinity with her," the representative said.

"The way she coped with cancer with dignity reminds him of Linda. She's the complete opposite to Heather," he added, referring to McCartney's first wife who died from the disease in 1998.

McCartney had routine heart surgery last year, an operation said by some in the media to be a result of the stress of his divorce with Mills.
