MIKE LEIGH TAKES AN INTEREST IN CROP CIRCLES

MIKE LEIGH has admitted he has an obsession with crop circles.

The Mirror reports that the acclaimed film director, whose hit projects include VERA DRAKE and SECRETS AND LIES, confessed to his belief in aliens at a screening of his new film HAPPY GO LUCKY earlier this week.

He has even written the forward for a book on the subject, entitled A Complete Guide To Crop Circle Mystery And Why It Is Not a Hoax.

Speaking to the newspaper, Leigh said: "There are many crop circles that simply cannot be explained, that can't have been done by human hand. But to anyone who says I subscribe to conspiracy theories, I would tell them to f*** off."

Mike is not the only celebrity who has a passion for the extraterrestrial.

Pop star ROBBIE WILLIAMS has taken a hiatus from his singing career to hunt for aliens.

The former TAKE THAT star has teamed up with British journalist Jon Ronson to record a radio documentary about extraterrestrials, in which the pair attend a UFO conference in Laughlin, Nevada to hear stories about alien abductions.
