DEADWOOD star IAN MCSHANE has developed a new fondness for snakes after 10,000 of the slithery reptiles were dumped on him for a scene in his new movie THE SEEKER. The British actor was nervous about the sequence at first, but the film's snake handler made sure he was comfortable. He says, "I kind of like snakes. They don't bother me at all. They were great. We had a snake handler there, called Russ, and he brought them; I think they came from Hungary. I mean they were good as gold, so it was fine. "There were no sudden movements. They weren't crawling on my face. They just laid them across the body. I'm not averse to animals like that. I'd much rather snakes than having a cow sitting on me."
