REBA MCENTIRE - MCENTIRE TO HOST 2007 ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS

Country music star REBA MCENTIRE is to host the 2007 Academy Of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada later this year (07). The legendary singer, 51, has sold more than 50 million records to date in her 32-year career and is honoured to be returning to her musical roots. She says, "I'm so flattered. I'm thrilled to be heading back to Las Vegas to help put on the greatest show in country music." The awards nominations are being led by BROOKS + DUNN with nine nods, while GEORGE STRAIT is close behind with nominations in eight categories, including Entertainer Of The Year and Top Male Vocalist. MCEntire will present the 42nd annual Academy Of Country Music Awards to celebrate the industry's hottest emerging talent at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on 15 May (07).
