ERIC MCCORMACK - MCCORMACK GRATEFUL FOR LATE FAME

Canadian actor ERIC MCCORMACK is relieved he found fame at such a late age, because becoming a young celebrity would have messed up his life.
The former Will + Grace star was 34 when he leaped to fame playing gay lawyer Will Truman in the hit comedy, when he had already settled down and married.
The 43-year-old explains, "I think I was very lucky that I didn't get well-known until my early thirties. If it had happened when I was younger, you might have seen me falling out of nightclubs. I think I conducted myself as a much better human being because I was already married when all that came along.
"Once in a while I wish that I'd had those crazy parties, but I'd have been scared of ending up as a 29-year-old has-been. Now I'm in a long term relationship but I have a lot of singles friends, so I know dating is hard. They say to me, 'I can't meet anyone, I have to go to bars.'"
